Five Stars!
Couldn't have asked for anything more. The install was quick and neat. Mike was very patient with us and went the extra mile to make sure our dog was trained properly and compassionately with the fence. I really like the system and gentle training of the dog rather than a typical approach of just setting up the fence and letting the dog figure it out. Mike worked with us on several occasions until we had a good grasp on the training techniques. Excellent service and a true desire to help our dog.
Highly recommended.

Dear Jessica,
Just a short note regarding Petty. He has put on maybe 10 lbs due to my fault of giving the fellow something to eat when he even looks at me. I am tapering off and will get him on a diet more.
I have really enjoyed having this dog. It brings me back to my childhood days of having a dog in cless with me because I stuttered so. Then, I could talk to dogs, just did not do so well with people.
My real purpose in getting this note to you is to recommend Mike Myhal of PetCare Hidden Fence. The fence has worked out very well and Petty recognizes his area very quickly. When I was with Tulane Medical we did some conditioning in audition. That conditioning did not go as quickly as the Hidden Fence did! Recently Mike had to come and repair the wire as I had cut it while planting a tree - I think this big dog loves Michael as much he does me!
My regards to a great group of people who work with animals.
Sincerely,

Mike,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you dearly for all of your help and support of the underground fence you installed back in 2006. The fence, of course, has saved our dog's life. After losing one dog to Military Road, I was very reluctant to even own another dog! Your wonderful fence and training program allowed us to adopt a dog...actually two dogs. The biggest thank you is for the training you provided (both canine and human)!!!
All the best,

Mike,
We have been so pleased with the installation of the PetCare Hidden Fence. We no longer worry about Sebastian getting out of the yard. Under your supervision, Becky’s training was superb. Thorough, amazingly gentle yet completely effective. When Sebastian hears the beep from his collar, he immediately backs away. He now knows his boundaries and rarely gets close enough for the collar to beep. We highly recommend PetCare Hidden Fence to others. It is a wonderful system only surpassed by the excellent service we have received from you. You have always responded promptly to our e-mails and telephone calls. Your newest service to your customers of having the batteries and other supplies available at two veterinary locations is very convenient. We sincerely appreciate your commitment to your customers and their pets.

Hi Mr. Mike!
It’s me, Sebastian. Thanks so much for keeping me safe. I wanted to send this picture of me in my sweater showing other dogs that the PetCare Hidden Fence collar coordinates well with doggie sweaters. See, I look like a doggie model for PetCare Hidden Fence!! Keep up your wonderful work of keeping dogs like me safe.

On March 3, 2007 my husband and I adopted “Sable”, a 1-½ year old Catahoula leopard mix. It was our understanding that Sable had been returned three times to your shelter. Understandably, Sable was VERY shy.
One of the first things we did was to investigate hidden/invisible fences. Upon referral from a friend we chose “PET CARE HIDDEN FENCE” Mike Myhal is the owner.
Upon our first visit Mike wanted to know everything about Sable. He took great care in the knowledge that Sable was very sensitive and shy (who wouldn’t be, being returned three times!).
Mike worked compassionately and sympathetically with her numerous times. Under his customized technique and gentle care, Sable excelled in learning quickly!
I put my trust in Mike for this shy and sensitive dog. It turned out to be the best decision that we have made for Sables’ safety.
I would highly recommend Mike’s Pet Care Hidden Fence company to any one who is considering this method of containment. Mike really cares about the wellbeing of the animal.
Sable finally has a happy and safe home and outdoor environment, where she can run & play to her hearts content.
Thank you Mike!

Hi, just wanted to send you an update on Cheyenne, Gandalf and Mayday. Yesterday, we were outside with all 3 dogs and Cheyenne saw a cat across the street, she took of flying for the kitty, Gandalf hot on her heels and Mom in hysterics just knowing she was going to blast past the line, I hollered, Cheyenne Back! Just about the time she came within the “beeping zone”. She looked like one of those barrel racing horses that stop on a dime! She slid and stopped and turned around!!!! I was soooo proud! She didn’t go through the barrier and neither did Gandalf, they both stopped, looked at the cat and went back to playing with their ball.
Just had to tell you that cause I was doing major happy dance with them for being so good!

Pet Care Hidden Fence has been a wonderful experience for our family, including our pets. It has far exceeded my expectations for ease of use, reliability and effectiveness.
We first went to Pet Care because we were looking for a safe way to keep our dogs in the yard without having to put up a traditional fence around our property. We were a little apprehensive at first about this method working for our dogs; it just sounded too simple. Once we saw the training method firsthand, there was no question that it would work and be a lasting solution for us.
Our two dogs were very happy throughout the entire training process. In fact, they enjoyed the extra attention we and owner Mike Myhal gave them. They were taught that our yard was their safe place with positive reinforcement. Our dogs, like most, were eager to please and quickly learned the boundaries we established for them. Now they run free and happy without us having to worry about them being hit by a car or other such tragedy.
It is obvious when you meet Mike Myhal that he loves animals and loves what he does. We could see by the way he handled our dogs that he has genuine concern and care for animals. The customer service has been great and any questions or concerns we had were always answered to our satisfaction right away.
We have and will continue to recommend Pet Care hidden fence to our friends and neighbors. The value of protecting our four-legged family members from harm is more valuable by far than the price charged.

Dear Mike,
I have heard misinformed people take the postion that “electronic fences don’t work and are cruel and inhumane”. Because of our experience, I feel strongly compelled to give testimony to the exact opposite position. As you know, we had you install a PetCare Hidden Fence about a year ago, and we and our two dogs couldn’t be happier.
Since the fence has been installed in our backyard, and portions of the front yard, our dogs have not left the yard except for the times we take them for walks or travel. Before the fence was installed, our dachshund repeatedly dug out of our wooden-fenced backyard and wandered around on Penn’s Chapel Road and surrounding area. He likely would have been run-over and killed by now if not for the electric fence. Our Lab mix dog Sophie was a pup when it was installed and has never tried to dig out or leave the yard. Both dogs love to go into our yard and spend many happy hours there everyday. To my knowledge, neither has ever been “shocked” or appeared to be intimidated in our yard. To the contrary, they are as happy as can be in the yard. Anyone who concludes that this system is “cruel and inhumane” obviously hasn’t met happy and well cared for dogs who reside in this type of fencing.
It was truly amazing how quickly both dogs responded to your effective, gentle approach of training them as to the location of the fencing. We had used your competitor years ago and the difference in your methods is dramatic. By using treats and leashes in proximity to the fence boundaries to teach the dogs where the fence exists, they literally learned the limits within just a few days. They did not appear to suffer from any type of physical or emotional trauma during training, and are certainly not afraid to roam up to the limits of the fencing.
We appreciate your ongoing support in getting replacement batteries for the dog’s collars from time to time, and your professionalism in following-up in our dogs training and ongoing happiness. As you know, I recommended your services to a neighbor across the street when they acquired a puppy golden retreiver, who appears very happy playing in his yard. I haven’t seem him leave his yard on his own. I will continue to recommend your services to anyone in need of fencing. Thanks again for a great product and service!

Hello Mike:
I AM SORRY IT HAS TAKEN SO LONG TO GET THESE PICS TO YOU..............
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE THEM AND THIS LETTER ANYWAY YOU SEE FIT.
HERE'S A SHORT BIO OF MY “KIDS”!
AMY IS GOING TO CELEBRATE HER 10TH BIRTHDAY IN January 09. SHE IS A REALLY SWEET PET WHO LOVES EVERYONE. SHE ALSO IS A GREAT ALERT DOG -BARKING AT ANYTHING THAT COMES NEAR OUR PROPERTY.
PJ HAS AN ATTITUDE - SWEET WITH ME BUT UNPREDICTABLE WITH OTHERS - NOT THE TYPE OF DOG YOU WOULD WANT HAVING ACCESS TO FOLKS WALKING DOWN THE STREET.
INSTALLING YOUR HIDDEN FENCE WAS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE FOR THEM. TYPICAL OF MINPINS, PJ WAS DIGGING UNDER THE FENCE TO ESCAPE THE YARD AND AMY WOULD FOLLOW. SINCE THE INSTALLATION OFTHE HIDDEN FENCE THEY KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE. TRAINING THEM TO UNDERSTAND THE WARNING SOUNDS OF APPROACHING THEIR BOUNDARIES WAS EASY. IT ONLY TOOK ABOUT 10 MINUTES FOR PJ TO "GET IT."
I ALSO WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR QUICK RESPONSE WHEN I HAVE HAD QUESTIONS OR NEEDED SERVICE. YOUR CONCERN AND LOVE OF ANIMALS IS VERY APPARENT IN YOUR DEDICATION TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Dear Mike
I am so sorry that this letter has taken me so long to write...But I have not had this recommendation off of my mind for even one day and I just had to make myself sit down and do it…please feel free to use this as you see fit, thanks for everything- debbie
After Hurricane Katrina, we decided to have an electronic fence installed. We are animal welfare people and we were VERY concerned about getting a safe, humane, yet effective system. We had several special case dogs that would need special attention and training and to add to the challenge, we would need to train four dogs to an e-fence all at the same time.
Post-Katrina, we adopted two puppies that were about nine months old when our PetCare Hidden Fence was installed. We also had a male, about three years old, that we had rescued from a shelter. He had been very abused - and was quite wary and very skittish. To add to our complicated situation, we had an elderly female dog that was quite set in her ways. Enter Mike Myhal, and Pet Care Hidden Fence….
Mike proved to us that an electronic fence can be installed without trauma, or pain to my dogs. His training methods were very gentle and non-traumatic to our puppies, abused rescued dog, and our somewhat confused old lady dog. In fact, he made me feel the collar before we ever put it on our dogs, and I was amazed when I could barely sense the slightest tingle. Mike took his time and his careful attention to our special situation. He came to our home countless times to teach us how to work with our dogs; and, many times to help us solve a few situations that arose with having special needs animals. His patience and kindness have been amazing - both to us humans and to our beloved dogs. Anytime that I have called Mike, he has answered or returned my call promptly and professionally.
We feel strongly about exercising our dogs daily with a “walk.” So, to add to Mike’s complicated challenge here, he devised a plan that would allow us to be able to exercise our dogs daily without confusing them about entering in and out of the PetCare Hidden Fence boundary.
About a year ago, we rescued another large male from Highway 434. He had obviously been dumped out of a car after being someone’s house dog (we learned that he had advanced heart worms). He was so traumatized and lost. After about two weeks, we had to train him to stay on our property. Using Mike’s methods, it was amazing how quickly and well, he learned his boundaries. So now we have five dogs living within our PetCare Hidden Fenced area.
Mike has worked with many St. Tammany Humane Society dogs, training them on the Hidden Fence systems and making them more adoptable. He has a true heart for animals and has been available to try to help me place animals that I have rescued. His own dogs are rescues. This says a lot about the kind of person that he is to me and to my family.
I highly recommend Mike and Pet Care Hidden fence.

Dear Mike,
Thanks to you, PetCare Hidden Fence made it possible for us to keep and enjoy Bear. Your system worked for our dog when others didn't ... Bear's previous owner had tried containing Bear using a different invisible fence, but to no avail. In fact, a big reason they gave up on Bear was because they thought he could not be contained. You proved that he could! Your equipment offers a range of options and that's a big plus but the biggest plus, in our book, is the personal attention that you devoted to us in training us and working with Bear. Your communications with us, as we learned the process, were the key to success in training Bear and ourselves. Bear is NOT an easy animal to contain, but with your help and our PetCare Hidden Fence, he's now content with both his his new "Mom & Dad" and his boundaries.
Thanks, Mike

This is our Reese…You could say she is the,"spice" of our family. Reese enjoys challenges such as chasing squirrels, catching mosquitoes and spying on cats, but she cannot get past her PetCare Hidden Fence – NO MATTER WHAT! When we moved, PetCare helped us “move” our system to our new home and they put in a new fence for us. Now (thanks our PetCare Hidden Fence and the company owner, Mike Myhal) when Reese is outside chasing squirrels, her family knows that she is kept safe inside her yard. We all sleep well at night thanks to the service provided by Mr. Mike and our PetCare Hidden Fence!

This is what I would like veterinarians and other dog lovers to know:
PetCare Hidden Fence Company is the best. We had Mike put our in our hidden fence 2 years ago and it is great knowing that our dogs are safe. The system works great and Mike is always there to help with any questions or problems that we may have. I would and have recommended PetCare to all of my friends with dogs. We can leave home with peace of mind knowing that our dogs are confined to our yard. Mike showed us how to train them when he installed the system and it’s worked great.

I had been having problems containing my pets, a Catahoula mix and a miniature Daschund, even though my property is completely fenced. I have a five foot 4x4 field fence in which Melvin, the Catahoula, would constantly leap the fence and Oscar, the Dauchaund, was able to pass through the 4x4 holes in the fence. Melvin was picked up by St. Tammany Animal Control on two occasions.
I contacted Pet Care Hidden Fence and spoke to Mike Myhal who assured me that he could help me. Mike installed a hidden fence around the inner perimeter of my property and instructed me on how to train my dogs to the new fence. After about a week of training, neither dog would penetrate the hidden fence.
The hidden fence has solved my problem and now I even removed a portion of my field fence. I now have peace of mind knowing my pets are safe on my property.

Mike, I am absolutely amazed, thrilled, dumbfounded
and anything else applicable!!
In TWO days Honey and Jabe are "with the program"!!
They will not go within 3-4 ft of the fences,
regardless of the "temptations" I set. I was so
impressed on day two that I took each, separately, on
a leash out in the front yard. After only a couple of
"walk arounds" the same thing, they would not go near
the flags. I even dropped the leash gave the "stay"
command and they BOTH did!! Neither one even thought
about following me!! I am amazed!!
I do, however, need to get the replacement collar for
TeJo' as soon as possible. I tried to work with him,
but the collar is not working. In one spot it will
beep, a foot down, it does nothing. Needless to say,
I have had NO LUCK with him; remember, HE IS THE
DIGGER, I really need to get him on board as soon as
possible.
Again, thanks so much for everything!! I am so glad I
found you and the Pet Fence!! My life is easier
already........any ideas for the Grand babies???

Re: Mike Myhal-Pet Care Hidden Fence Company
Dear Beth,
You might remember our family adopted two dogs, both yellow lab mixes, in March 2007- Cane, a lab/greyhound had been with you for awhile, and Sugar (formerly Belinda), a lab/cocker-spaniel. We had just purchased a house with a large lot near the Humane Society.
Not wanting to ‘fence in’ an acre lot, the logical solution was an underground fence. I wanted to thank you for recommending Mike Myhal of Pet Care Hidden Fence Company. Mike did an excellent job of installing the fence, and also in training us in how to properly train the dogs to the fence. Later, when our needs changed, Mike talked with Dennis to plan an alternate route for the fence, then came out to the house and added some wiring.
Each time, Mike called periodically to ask how the dogs are acclimating to the fence and offered suggestions. He is always available to answer questions and has a sincere interest in the well being of the dogs. The care he takes in the job shows he understands that the dogs are not just ‘pets’; they are family members and losing one is devastating. I have had the privilege of visiting Mike and his wife at their home on a few occasions and it is obvious that he treats his clients’ dogs (and the fencing) as if it were his own.
Again, thank you for your recommendation.
Sincerely,
Denise & Dennis Thomas
For the sake of other pets in the St Tammany Parish, I am writing to you to share my experience with electronic containment systems and PetCare Hidden Fence.
I currently have 2 puppies and use the Petcare electric, underground fencing system.…..Upon returning home from evacuating for Hurricane Katrina, like many others, found my home to be without power. I was concerned that my puppy had gotten scared and left the yard. We were only gone for 3 days but in that time she did not once leave the yard, even when she was enticed with food by a neighbor. Many people who had/have visible fences do not have the level of containment that the electric fence provides....
Once my pups were trained, I took down the flag markers. I actually have left a few standing as a means to remind me where the fence is. My pups have one acre to roam, play and chase bunnies and to keep cool under the trees during summer. Each of them has only been gently zapped a couple of times, and that was during training, because they know and remember precisely where the boundaries are. When I change the batteries in my pup’s collars, I have to remove the collar. While this provides them the opportunity to run out of the yard, they are not aware of their freedom. My pups are very happy and while I believe they would like to leave my yard, they haven’t even tried except during training. Neither food, other dogs, nor big trucks on the street have convinced them to breech the fence line.
Another issue for homeowners as well as government agencies is the fact that I had almost zero damage to my fence system due to the storm. I had one oak tree fall over and break my electric fence line. That took me all of 2 minutes to fix, unlike my neighbors who had to spend a great deal of money and time to reconstruct visible fences. And these fences rarely keep dogs and cats contained and out of the street. It is very sad to see squashed dogs in the streets and the anguish their owners are experiencing.
I hope you will take this testimonial seriously for the safety of our pets. I don’t believe electric fences should be mandatory but I do believe that it should be promted as a responsible, viable and economic alternative. The electric fence containment system is by far more effective and economical than any visible fence. It truly works and keeps my pups out of other people’s property and out of the street which in turn keeps me from being cited and the Sheriff’s office can attend to other serious matters. This system is one of the best investments I have ever made and I would recommend it to everyone. My pups are safe and that gives me peace of mind.
Sincerely,
Dana G. Bunting
“For our first two dogs, we used a different company that we thought was a name brand. During their training, our dogs were shocked so hard I was in tears. When I noticed that my neighbor had different company, PetCare Hidden Fence, put a system in, I cautioned her about my experience. Mike asked me to feel the stimulation on the collar he was about to train her dog with- I was nervous and reluctant but agreed. I was surprised when I could barely feel anything, but completely dumbfounded as I watched Mike train dogs twice the size of mine, with practically nothing more than a tickle and a beep. On the spot, I asked Mike to remove the Invisible Fence® equipment from our garage and I traded in all our collars for his recommendations. If only I had known about PetCare Hidden Fence and their GentleStart™ training method to start with…”

Dear PetCare,
I am writing to praise the PetCare Hidden Fence and the untiring efforts of Mike Myhal who installs the service in my area. Before I got my PetCare system, I was constantly fighting to keep my dogs contained. They jumped my fence and they dug out. Since I got the fence form Mike, I have had peace of mind that my pets were safe and sound.
I live on a very busy Hwy 437 and am almost surprised that my dogs are still alive; I don't know how I managed without a PetCare fence. I would recommend it & Mike Myhal to anyone. Even after hurricane Katrina hit my area & we didn't have power for one month, it kept my dogs in because they no longer get close to the boundary. When falling trees damaged the underground line, Mike was out here in no time to fix it. Thank you for the system!! It's Great!
